And last but certainly not the least, here are the final entries for our male enhancement primer.

Q – Quercetin
A plant-derived substance, quercetin has been shown to inhibit prostatitis (inflammation of the prostate gland).

R – Revatio
Another brand name for sildenafil, Revatio is used to potentially treat pulmonary arterial hypertension. It works by relaxing muscles and increasing blood flow to particular areas of the body.

S – Saw Palmetto
An extract of the fruit of Serenoa repens, saw palmetto is used to potentially treat a variety of urinary and reproductive system problems. It is the most popular herbal preparation taken for benign prostatic hyperplasia, a condition characterized by an enlarged prostate.

T – Tribulus terrestris
Native to southern Europe, Asia, Africa, and Australia, Tribulus terrestris is used as an aphrodisiac. It has been shown to increase levels of testosterone, dihydrotestosterone, and dehydroepiandrosterone in rats, rabbits, and primates.

U – Urethra
Providing an exit for urine and semen, the male urethra is about 8 inches long and opens at the end of the penis.

V – Vasectomy
A vasectomy is a surgical procedure wherein the vasa deferentia of a man are severed, and then tied or sealed so as to prevent sperm from entering the ejaculate. One common myth is that men who have had a vasectomy experience less pleasure during sexual encounter. This has been proven false as the procedure has nothing to do with erectile dysfunction or premature ejaculation.

W – Weight loss
A lifestyle choice that can help obese men experience better sexual function, weight loss (in obese men) has also been shown to reduce erectile dysfunction (ED) risk.

Y – Yohimbe
A component of the popular penis enhancement supplement Erectzan, yohimbe contains the alkaloid yohimbine – a stimulant and an aphrodisiac. Yohimbe has been used to potentially treat male impotence and low sex drive.

Z – Zinc
Studies have shown that diets lacking in zinc can negatively affect sexual health. In children, zinc deficiency can cause delayed sexual development, while in sperm-producing animals, it can cause sexual organs to shrink.
