Male enhancement supplements are arguably the most popular method to enhance the penis and improve sexual performance. Despite all the controversies, it’s safe to say that male enhancement supplements are here to stay. However, manufacturers of male enhancement products are not resting on their laurels and continue to look for new methods that can promote penis growth – permanently or temporarily.

Special transdermal penis patches are among the newer innovations in the male enhancement industry. Transdermal delivery has long been used to introduce different pharmaceutical compounds, including nicotine and testosterone, directly to the bloodstream. Penis patches are marketed as more convenient than male enhancement supplements since the active ingredients do not need to pass through the digestive system. The ingredients are also released slowly over a longer period of time, in controlled amounts and in a controlled manner.

The manufacturers of penis patches claim that their products have a higher absorption rate and work faster and more efficiently than male enhancement supplements, though there are no studies that can support these claims. They argue that since the ingredients of male enhancement supplements have to be orally ingested, digested, and processed by the liver, they lose their potency and take longer to build up in your system.

Penis patches can be worn for several days and stay glued to your body even if you shower or sweat – sweating will eventually cause the patch to loosen – but they cannot be placed either on the face or genitals. The adhesives found in the penis patches can result in skin irritation. You can stick the patches in a different area the next time you use it to avoid the irritation.

It’s easy to get caught up in the hype brought by penis patches but one thing’s for sure – they’re not magic bullets for male enhancement. They can also be a source of embarrassment because they may stick out like a sore thumb. Even if you stick the patch on some body part that can be covered, this still does not completely eliminate the likelihood of someone noticing and asking you awkward questions about it.

Putting aside all of these superficial reasons, which are valid in their own right, the penis patch is an unproven male enhancement product. Male enhancement supplements allow you to control the dosage. A month’s supply of patches and a month’s supply of male enhancement capsules or tablets cost roughly the same so choosing the former won’t save you some money.
