Last Monday, a jury has cleared a certain doctor of the lawsuit that was filed against him by a truck driver from Delaware. The said truck driver went through a penis implant procedure and instead of getting the results that he wanted, he ended up suffering from an erection that has lasted for 8 long months!

44 year old Daniel Metzgar from Newark, Delaware filed a case against Thomas Desperito, an urologist from Wilmington, Delaware. Four months following the procedure, Metzgar experienced swelling. He went to a certain hospital where he went through some tests. Prior to going to the hospital, the poor man can no longer reach Dr. Desperito.

To be honest, this case was quite disappointing because despite the dire circumstances that the victim has went through for many months, the jury ended up deciding that there was no negligence on the part of the doctor. And despite the evidences like the pictures of the swelling and the results that were acquired after the tests, it seemed that the blame was placed instead on the hospital staff which was accused to be unfamiliar with cases of penis implants, lacking the necessary training on how they should deal with such cases.

Granted that the hospital staff might not have been that familiar with penis implants, but that does not necessarily mean that they do not know how to run their tests, right?  Besides, the results of the tests have been based solely on the condition of the patient, and it has nothing to do with making the problem much worse than what it already was.

Judging from a reader’s perspective, it can definitely be a bit difficult to determine what could have been the basis of the jury in deciding that there was no negligence on the part of the doctor. Clearly, the sufferings of the patient have been the result of the surgery itself and not the tests run after the swelling has started to occur. A lot of things are vague here. For sure, the damages caused by the penile implant gone wrong are already considered as hard evidences against the doctor. It is just so frustrating to think that after Metzgar’s life has been ruined due to the procedure, it seemed that the jury has turned blind eyes and deaf ears on him. Did he just risk his reputation and privacy for nothing?

But whatever might be the reason for this not so just decision, this case only proves that at the end of the day, penis implants and any other surgery on your manhood is definitely a big no-no. The mere thought of sustaining an erection for 8 months is already a living nightmare all by itself! How can you possibly lead a normal life when your weiner seems to be active all the time? So, lesson learned: Stay away from penis implants and other penis surgical procedures if you want to be safe from the shame brought about by mishaps that can be incurred during the process.
